“Photography is sometimes confused as a creative medium where people have the opportunity to express their own creative impulses. For me, this is not the case at all. With portraiture, and people as the main focus of everything I work on, I simply capture moments. I don’t like to think I ‘create’ anything. People are inherently beautiful, and I simply take joy in capturing special moments.

 

These photographs are of people I have met through music, work and travel. I have been fortunate to travel, through music, all over the world. My camera is my one opportunity to completely disconnect from this constantly changing lifestyle, and really hone in and capture the essence of where I am. People, to me, are the essence of a city, and the creatives accentuate it.
